Oil pulling or “gundusha” or “kavala”, is an ancient Ayurvedic dental technique which cleanses the body of toxins and supports oral and overall health.
This method includes swishing a tablespoon of oil in the mouth on an empty stomach for 15-20 minutes.
Oil pulling detoxifies the gums, strengthens and protects the teeth and at the same time, whitens the teeth and makes them super white. It prevents infections and fights bacteria in the oral cavity.
We suggest the use of coconut oil, as incredibly healthy oil that can additionally boost the effects of the treatment.
These are the most important benefits of oil pulling with coconut oil for your dental health:
- whitens teeth
- has impressive effects for the entire oral cavity
- Fights bacteria and gum infections
- breaks through the plaque
- prevents cavities
When you wake up in the morning, you should swish a couple of teaspoons of solid organic coconut oil in the mouth. Leave the oil to melt and keep it in the mouth for 20 minutes.
Repeat the procedure before meals during the day if you want to treat severe dental problems or gum infections.
During this time, the oil will be able to break through bacteria and plaque, but the body will not have enough time to reabsorb the toxins again. Then, spit it out, and you will thus remove all the bacteria and toxins from the mouth.
Rinse with warm water, and then brush the teeth as usually.
